How long does it take to form a new LLC?
The timeline for LLC formation depends on the processing speed of the Texas Secretary of State. Once we file your paperwork, it typically takes 3-10 business days. We will provide you with your EIN from the IRS immediately following state approval.
Why is there an extra charge for tax years prior to 2016?
Tax laws and software requirements change significantly over time. Filing “back taxes” for older years requires manual research into historical tax codes and specialized processing to ensure compliance with past regulations.
Are the Secretary of State fees included in your pricing?
No. Our service fee covers the professional preparation and filing of your documents. The Texas Secretary of State charges a separate filing fee (currently $300 for most LLCs), which is subject to change based on state regulations.
What is the difference between an S-Corp and a C-Corp?
This depends on your specific business goals. Generally, an S-Corp is a “pass-through” entity that may help small business owners save on self-employment taxes, while a C-Corp is taxed as a separate legal entity. We can discuss which filing is right for you during a 1-on-1 consultation.
